Baker Hughes announces today that they have been selected as the key supplier for Masoneilan control valves and Consolidated safety relief valves for the Venture Global LNG liquefaction facility in Louisiana, USA. Unlike more traditional large size liquefaction trains, the Venture Global project will utilize 18 smaller liquefaction modules for a combined capacity of 10 MTPY of LNG production. Masoneilan and Consolidated valves will be used in both conventional and cryogenic applications.
“This projects is a great success after years of support for Venture Global from the FEED stage through the final RFQ”, says Stephen James, Baker Hughes Global Project Pursuit Leader. “This is truly a ‘Full-Stream’ LNG project where Baker Hughes leverages our equipment across the entire scope of the plant. For years, our teams from around the world we have worked closely with the design of the LNG modules and systems to optimize our products around their specifications. We are excited to have this major project build in our backyard in the US where we can oversee the start-up and help the customer through the lifecycle of their operation.”
This order includes nearly 1,000 total control and safety relief valves, and is the first phase of construction of 3 total plants being built under the Venture Global project where Baker Hughes will partner in the Full-Stream supply of equipment.
