Naples, Italy (November 8, 2018)
Baker Hughes celebrates the grand opening of a new steam test facility in Naples, Italy created to better serve the European aftermarket with rapid response ASME Section I safety valves for steam applications. The new plant is an expansion on the current aftermarket center that expands the product scope and capacity of the plant to now include the full range of Masoneilan control valves and Consolidated safety valves, up to 2000 psi (140 Bar) test pressure.
“Today we take a great step forward with our Consolidated product line as we serve the European market, said Cristiano Gabbrielli, GM of Naples Aftermarket Center. “We can now supply a great scope of products for the Boiler OEM and end user Power market – from boiler feedwater and pump recirculation control valves, to the top of the boiler with the main steam safety valves, all with rapid response from our local shop.”
The new test facility was expanded to best address the local European requirements, such as PED and material specifications, managed through local inventory programs and assembly / test capabilities. It will also help our European customers reduce the overall cost of ownership by having inventory and capabilities locally available to their plant sites. Baker Hughes is a full scope supplier of safety and control valve systems globally, with local capabilities in each strategic region for fastest response.
