Consolidated Pressure Relief Valves announces the release of the NEW patented 2900 Series Generation II Pilot-Operated Pressure Relief Valve (PRV).  This premiere solution enables customers to replace existing oversized or misapplied API 526 Direct-Spring PRVs with the integrally sensed Consolidated 2900 Series Pilot Valve without requiring remote sense pipe tapping or piping modifications due to centerline to face dimensional differences.

“The benefits of pilot valves have been well documented over multiple decades and include enhanced relief stability, improved operating efficiency through minimizing seat leakage, carbon footprint reduction, and lower total cost of ownership” says Brian Burkhart, Senior Product Manager – Consolidated Valves.  “What makes the new 2900 Series Generation II a huge technology step forward for our customers is they can now take advantage of the benefits of a spring to pilot valve upgrade without watering down their ROI due to costly piping modifications and complicated Management of Change (MOC) activities.”

This new product also features a full-nozzle main valve which easily threads in and out to save on maintenance costs as well as protects the main valve body from corrosive service during normal operating conditions.

In addition to initial investment savings, the design features of this product unlock cost savings throughout the entire lifecycle.  “We really see the innovation from our engineers in the patented integral sense ring and nozzle design, which always aligns to the sensing tube after assembly or service.  This unique design ensures our customers will not only save on up front initial investment, but also throughout the entire life cycle of the product,” explains Burkhart.

The 2900 Series Generation II also comes standard with the ‘True Zero Leakage’ Modulating Pilot, which was recognized by Hydrocarbon Engineering for helping customers reduce their carbon footprint and fugitive emissions.
